Sisterhood Style
Want to meet like-minded women in your area for lunch, happy hour, personal enrichment and travel? Then, you want The Sisterhood Tribe. Jennifer Vandersol founded the social organization in response to a challenge that many empty nesters ultimately face: after your children grow up and move out, what do you do? These women also may ask themselves questions like, who am I now or how do I meet new people? Like other moms, Jennifer wondered what the next chapter of her life would bring. Instead of watching and waiting for her story to unfold, Jennifer wrote the next chapter herself. She launched The Sisterhood Tribe for women in the Lake Norman area who want to connect with each other in meaningful ways — through food, education, travel and more. The social group started as a small gathering of women for monthly lunches, but quickly grew in popularity. In its first year, the organization gained 1300 members.
