Packing Tips for That Upcoming Summer Vacation

AHHH, it's time for that long-awaited summer vacation!  We're all looking forward to one - or more!  Taking a trip, relaxing, seeing new parts of the world or old friends and relatives - how much better does it get!!

Yet packing for that ideal vacation can be stressful.  What to take?  How best to pack?  How do I keep from over-packing (as so many of us do!)

There's various websites, videos and blogs that offer specific suggestions for keeping our sanity when packing, and for keeping us "fresh" and as wrinkle-free as possible when we're touring or visiting.

Nearly all seasoned travelers say "pack light."  Reduce the weight of that bag!  It'll be easier to carry and could help in meeting the airline's weight requirements for luggage.   "Travelfashiongirl" suggests creating a minimal yet highly functional and fashionable travel wardrobe:

And don't FOLD the clothing into the suitcase; ROLL each piece up instead.  This helps keep things less wrinkled and saves space in the suitcase.  One helpful addition to the packing process is using packing cubes to keep items such as undies, makeup or socks together.   Eagle Creek's website has packing cubes in various sizes, plus several helpful articles.

Of course, one one the easiest ways to ensure you'll be look fresh while on vacation is to pack fabrics that travel well - pieces that fight wrinkles, wash easily (if needed) and fit properly!  CoCo Couture has some great pieces from Atina Cristina and her sister brand, Analili.
Plus we just got a new shipment of easy-wear clothing from Jean-Pierre Klifa.  The fabrics from these three designers are mostly carefree polyester (many with spandex for a more shapely fit) that keep wrinkles at bay!  The bottoms in particular are much lighter than heavy jeans or slacks. They'll look great whether you're on a cruise, at the beach, or exploring the city museums.

And if your summer vacation means basking in the sun at some fabulous beach, shop at CoCo Couture
beforehand for two really sweet accessories: a large straw bag that can be filled with all kinds of summer goodies - books, lotions, towels - and some easy-on-the-feet flip flops from Brighton.

So, Bonjour!  Ciao!  Bon Voyage!  Happy Trails!  But be sure to stop in at CoCo Couture before you leave for some travel-worthy apparel pieces.  And, See Ya When You Get Back!
