Fashion Principal

October 17, 2020 -- Mooresville resident Carrie Tulbert stopped by CoCo Couture on Saturday to treat herself to some much needed “me time.” As the principal of Northview IB Middle School in Statesville, NC, Carrie’s work week is all about tending to the needs of hundreds of students. But, during her private style session and photo shoot at CoCo, we tended to her need for a fun and fashion-forward escape.

At 5’10”, Carrie is the perfect model for CoCo’s clothing. More importantly, she has an open mind and willingness to learn, honed during her long career as an educator and administrator no doubt! Those are two key traits in a successful style session.

Carrie stated “...honestly, I’m open to whatever you all would recommend, and maybe I will also learn something in the processs! I really do hope to learn, too! When I go shopping, I take a girlfriend and she dresses me in cute and fun things and I go with her recommendations. I’m coachable and flexible and prefer trusting those that are much better at this than me (like yourself!).”

Carrie trusted our instincts and selected five cute and fun combinations from the collection that we handpicked just for her.

Chains of Love

Carrie commented how silky-silky this Frank Lyman dress was. The chain print and gold zipper made this little black dress feel more modern, while the length made it perfect for knee-high boots. She loved it so much, she took it home with her.

Higher Standard

This black dress takes a turn for the chic, thanks to gold thread work and gold buttons. With a high neck and classic silhouette, it meets school standards for polish and professionalism.

Red Alert

Carrie knows exactly how to punch up earth tones:  just add a cheerful accessory.

Statement Jacket

Bored with black on black? Go for a faux leather statement jacket in a softer tone for more visual impact.

CoCo Couture owner Candace Bongiovanni said, “The people that educate, care for and ensure the safety of our children deserve way more than a complimentary style session and photo shoot at CoCo Couture! We did the best we could to make sure Carrie felt the love and had a great time. She really was a quick study and stepped into her own style with confidence and poise.”
