CoCo Couture Top Model Spotlight: Meet Pam Boileau
A Woman of Style, Strength, Adventure & Extraordinary Purpose
At CoCo Couture, our Top Model is about so much more than fashion. We celebrate women who demonstrate confidence, individuality, accomplishment, compassion and the belief that style has no age limit.
Our newest Top Model, Pam Boileau, embodies all of those qualities—and then some.
Pam’s story spans successful entrepreneurship, luxury real estate, decades of community service, international adventures, the arts, competitive dragon boat racing and a deeply personal journey as a two-time breast cancer survivor.
She is sophisticated yet adventurous, accomplished yet deeply community-minded. And when we asked Pam to tell us a little about herself, we quickly discovered that behind her beautiful sense of style is an even more remarkable story.
From Small-Town New York to an Extraordinary Career
Pam was born in Bath, New York, a small town in the Finger Lakes region. Her professional journey would eventually take her far beyond her hometown.
For an impressive 27 years, Pam owned The Marketing Consortium, which grew into one of the region’s larger marketing communications firms.
Her company provided strategic planning, research, public relations, advertising, special-event marketing and website development for clients in healthcare, technology, real estate and the nonprofit sector.
During those years, Pam and her team earned more than 100 regional, national and international awards for creativity, research, public relations results and overall plan development.
In 2012, she transitioned the business to a competitor and decided to take a year away from work.
It was a year Pam describes as her own version of Eat, Pray, Love.
But retirement—or even slowing down—wasn’t quite in the cards.
A simple cup of coffee with her former Realtor, Lori Ivester Jackson, opened the door to an entirely new chapter. Pam obtained her real estate license and joined Ivester Jackson.
More than 13 years later, after listing and selling both residential and commercial properties, Pam is now a Luxury/Senior Broker with Ivester Jackson/Christie’s International Real Estate, working from the Cornelius office. She says she is frequently included among the firm’s top brokers each quarter.
It’s a wonderful reminder that sometimes the most exciting chapters of our lives begin when we think we’ve already written the important ones.
A Life Defined by Giving Back
Perhaps one of the most extraordinary parts of Pam’s story is the amount of time she has devoted to helping others.
Over the course of her life, Pam says she has been active with more than 50 nonprofit organizations, with much of her work centered on supporting women and children.
Her service has included being a founding board member of The Hope House in Huntersville, as well as board service with Safe Alliance, formerly the Women’s Shelter, and Kindermourn.
But one organization holds an especially personal place in Pam’s heart.
Pam is a two-time breast cancer survivor.
For four years, she served as president of Healing Dragons – Charlotte, a dragon boat team that supports wellness for cancer survivors and supporters while promoting breast cancer survivorship.
The team practices twice each week on Mountain Island Lake and competes regionally. Pam’s involvement even took her internationally when the team returned from the IBCPC Festival in Aix-les-Bains, France.
Her commitment to the breast cancer community has extended beyond the water. Pam also served on the American Cancer Society board for the western region of North Carolina, helped bring the Susan G. Komen Race to Charlotte and participated in the event for many years as both a survivor and “thriver.”
Her story isn’t simply one of surviving difficult circumstances. It is about turning personal experiences into opportunities to encourage, serve and support others.
The Words She Lives By
When we asked Pam to share her favorite quote, she couldn’t choose just one.
The first comes from Eleanor Roosevelt:
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
Her second is attributed to Mother Teresa:
“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
It’s easy to understand why these words resonate with Pam.
One speaks to dreaming boldly.
The other speaks to living generously.
Together, they beautifully reflect the life she has created.
If the White House Called…
Naturally, this is CoCo Couture, so we had to ask Pam an important fashion question:
If you were invited to a gala at the White House, what would you wear?
Pam’s answer was pure timeless elegance.
She would choose a classic black gown, with the exact style depending upon the theme and purpose of the evening.
The gown would be beautifully designed from a fabric that complemented her figure without being overly fitted. And because every fabulous outfit deserves a little sparkle, Pam would finish the look with perhaps a cluster of diamond—or rhinestone—brooches and fabulous earrings.
We can already picture it.
Classic. Sophisticated. Elegant. And just enough sparkle to make an entrance.
Very CoCo Couture.
Meet BlueE
There’s another very important lady in Pam’s life: BlueE, her treasured Austrian Shepherd.
Pam adopted BlueE when she was eight years old and knew that she came with some health concerns.
Pam immediately got to work helping her new companion become healthier. Through diet and exercise, BlueE lost 12 pounds in less than a year. Pam then began monitoring a hip issue that she believes BlueE had been born with.
It is yet another glimpse into Pam’s nurturing side—and the commitment she brings to those she loves, whether they have two legs or four.
Adventure Is Definitely in Her DNA
Don’t let Pam’s elegant style fool you.
This woman has an adventurous streak!
Pam says she loves doing almost anything in, on or under the water. Her activities include dragon boat racing, kayaking, scuba diving and swimming.
When she’s on dry land, you’ll find her working out, riding her bike or walking her dogs through some of our region’s beautiful parks.
She is also a lover of the arts and enjoys taking classes when time permits, along with attending dance performances, concerts and plays.
But when we asked about the craziest adventure she has ever undertaken, Pam gave us a story worthy of its own travel documentary.
A Journey Deep Into the Amazon
One of Pam’s most unforgettable adventures involved taking a boat down the Amazon during a trip to Peru.
Pam and her daughter were headed for an inn on Sandoval Lake, and getting there was an adventure all by itself.
They were permitted to bring only a backpack. From there, they transferred into the jungle, walked several miles, boarded another boat on the lake and finally arrived at their destination several hours later.
There were only two properties along the approximately two-mile-long lake—the inn and a private retreat owned by the same family.
Electricity?
Only for a few hours during the day and evening.
Otherwise, they were immersed in the isolation of the Amazon.
Pam’s assessment?
Thrilling.
And somehow, after learning about the rest of her life, that answer seems perfectly fitting.
And the Jewelry?
When we asked Pam about jewelry, she didn’t hesitate.
“The bolder, the better.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
Statement earrings, fabulous necklaces, dramatic bracelets and pieces that make people look twice—Pam understands something we firmly believe at CoCo Couture:
Accessories aren’t always supposed to whisper.
Sometimes they should walk into the room before you do.
Why Pam Represents the CoCo Couture Woman
Fashion is fun. A fabulous outfit can transform the way we carry ourselves. The right jewelry can make us smile. And there is something undeniably special about putting on an outfit and immediately feeling beautiful.
But our CoCo Couture Top Model represents something bigger.
Pam reminds us that beauty and style don’t exist separately from the life we’ve lived.
They are enhanced by it.
Every accomplishment, every challenge overcome, every adventure, every person helped, every lesson learned and every new chapter contributes to the woman looking back at us in the mirror.
Pam has built a successful business, reinvented herself professionally, traveled the world, competed on the water, immersed herself in the arts, supported dozens of charitable organizations and faced breast cancer twice.
And she’s still dreaming.
Still working.
Still giving.
Still exploring.
Still dressing fabulously.
And apparently, still looking for jewelry that’s just a little bolder.
Congratulations, Pam!
CoCo Couture is delighted to celebrate Pam Boileau as one of our extraordinary Top Models.
Pam represents the kind of woman we love celebrating: confident, accomplished, compassionate, adventurous, resilient and unapologetically stylish.
Her story reminds women everywhere that there is no age or stage of life when we stop discovering who we can become.
There are always new places to explore.
New careers to pursue.
New people to help.
New dreams to chase.
And, of course, new outfits to wear while doing it.
From all of us at CoCo Couture, congratulations to Pam Boileau — our CoCo Couture Top Model.
Because great style may catch your eye, but a remarkable woman captures your heart.
