Top 5 tips for a healthier life!

Are you constantly running on low and can't seem to get caught up?  I always dreamed of being a respected, productive woman with many responsibilities.  But my imaginings shone the spotlight on a false picture of the calm, collected, posed and poised, well-dressed version of myself.  I have come up with the 5 "KEY" points and "MUST DO" items to "calm the storm."  Hopefully these key points will help relieve some of the day-to-day stress life throws you.

You were wearied by all your ways, but you would not say, "it is hopeless," You found renewal of your strength, and so you did not faint           ~ISAIAH 57:10

1.  Make a list of your priorities...almost a "must do or else" list.  I have noticed when scheduling lunch meetings, deadlines or even shipments that I am expected to receive if I put them in my handy calendar and schedule alerts I feel more organized and can plan accordingly.   I have also noticed using a "task" APP and listing items by priority helps me focus on the important tools and I really seem to work much more efficiently.

2.  Fashion Crisis....Outfit Alert!  Can't seem to find the perfect outfit for a business meeting, happy hour event, Summer BBQ or wedding?  Well I love some COCO COUTURE as you can now email them (cococoutureinfo@gmail.com) with your venue, occasion and color palette and even tell them when and what time you can come in for a "dress rehearsal" and these gals will actually customize your entire outfit (accessories too) for you.   Check out this amazing little number just recently put together

3.  Stress/Anxiety and about to explode?  Do you just feel overwhelmed to the point of bursting into tears or better yet screaming and throwing an adult temper tantrum?  Ohhhhh do we have a suggestion to really calm the nerves and no...we are not suggesting to down a bottle of Pinot.  This is a holistic approach and not only works but pretty healthy too!  We strongly suggest a beginner class enjoying a calming class at your local Yoga studio.  Maybe a Vinyasa or Slow Flow class for starters.  Taking in deep breathing exercises allows oxygen to the brain and stimulates your nerve endings allowing you to focus more on the calm and not the storm.  You can even try some YOU TUBE videos on breathing techniques.  Another suggestion is Lavender Lemonade.  Lavender is soothing natural element specifically for calming.  Maybe even an essential oil (2 drops behind the ear lobes) emergency will do the trick.  Take 3 small drops in the palm of your hands and cup your hands and begin to breathe in 3 times holding your breath each time for 5 seconds.  Natural lavender flowers in lemonade will provide a tranquil element for you and will calm your soul.  Ingredients:  lavender flowers (strain the flowers after allowing to soak after 20 minutes) , water, honey and fresh squeezed lemon juice from 6 lemons.  Serve over ice and even add a fresh mint leaf for garnish.

4.  Not only feel but look exhausted?  What to do for a quick non invasive up lift:    Grab a lemon, sugar, egg and olive oil to start!  Squeeze the juice from 1 lemon in a bowl, add 3 tbl spoons of sugar, 1 egg and about 3-4 tbl spoons of olive oil and mix together.  This will create almost a paste that we will use as a quick exfoliate.  Use your index and fore finger to create a swirl pattern applying the paste (be careful of the eyes).  Leave on for 5-7 minuets and wash off with cool water.   This will allow the top layer of your skin to be revived and refreshed.  The egg gives you a little Vitamin C boost and will provide the much needed vitamins for your face. If you have any cucumbers laying around place two cut cucumbers on those eyes for 5 minutes just to refresh the eye area.  You can also squeeze the juice from the cucumbers into a spray bottle with filtered H20 and create a spritzer.  This is great for setting your make up too!  I especially love Mario Badescu products.

5.  Finally.....feeling a bit overwhelmed and need some much needed "girl time?"   There are so many cool shows, live music events, festivals, food trucks and musicals going on in your community....you just need to take that much needed break and enjoy a show.  I suggest doing something fun outside your element!  You don't know if you like it...unless you try it.  GOOGLE top 3 new restaurants in your area.....and go.  Have you ever done an Art & Dinner event?  It's fabulous!  Check out some of the local resorts and see what "events" they have scheduled.  Take a tour of winery or music festival.
