To Kickoff Reopening, CoCo Couture Hosts Long-Awaited Customer Appreciation Event
If you like to throw a party as much as CoCo Couture owner Candace Bongiovanni does, the last eight weeks have been complete agony for you.
Needless to say, she has been looking forward to hosting her boutique’s first post-quarantine event for quite a while.
After closing its doors to customers in mid-March due to COVID-19 mandates, CoCo Couture finally was permitted to open them on Saturday, May 9. Since that time, customers have shown steady support for the store by visiting its Jetton Village location, as well as its newly redesigned website.
But the real fire behind Bongiovanni’s success is her once-monthly in-store events. These social events enable the entire CoCo Couture team to connect with customers on a deeper level and really get to know the people they serve.
Due to closure, CoCo Couture missed out on hosting March, April and May events. This motivated the entire CoCo team to make their June event better than ever.
And on June 3, they did. In partnership with the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, CoCo Couture hosted an after-hours Customer Appreciation event and sidewalk sale.
Bongiovanni said, “After being away from our customers for so long, we were thrilled to plan an appreciation event just for them! To make shopping easier, we set up a tent outside of our front door and placed our sale racks and bins underneath. These racks included fashion and accessories at up to 60 percent off. Most importantly, there was ample space for customers to spread out and feel at ease while browsing, since we are still taking social distancing and other recommended safety measures very seriously.”
Many Lake Norman-area businesses came together to donate free branded items for inclusion in customer gift bags. These businesses include: Dr. Princess Thomas of Breast Care Specialists of Carolina, Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, Pet Pilgrimage, Simply Organized and Visit Lake Norman.
CoCo Couture has several other in-store promotions, giveaways and events planned for June and July. They are:
— National Selfie Day, June 20: Stop by CoCo Couture, try on a head-to-toe CoCo ensemble, take a selfie, post it on social media and tag #thecococouture for a chance to win a ‘Best Self’ prize package.
— National Pink Day, June 23: CoCo Couture will offer a discount on all pink fashion in store or on its website. Customers can wear pink to the store to receive an extra 10% off.
— Hawaiian Luau and Mimosa Bar, July 19: CoCo Couture will host a sidewalk social, complete with mimosa bar and special guest.
