Miss Mecklenburg County Sophia Kellstrom to Attend CoCo Couture’s July Fashion Luau

This month, CoCo Couture will host an extra special event — and an extra special guest — at its Lake Norman boutique.

For the store’s July 19th customer event, the special guest will be Miss Mecklenburg 2020 Sophia Kellstrom.

Kellstrom is a 2017 graduate of Kings Mountain High School, and a current student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. On January 11th of this year, she won the Miss Mecklenburg County title during the competition held at Duke Energy Center at Spirit Square in Charlotte.

Sophia began competing in pageants to bring greater awareness to the problem of child hunger in our state. As she represents Mecklenburg County in 2021 at the Miss North Carolina competition, she will continue to use her platform to help improve the lives of undernourished children.

CoCo Couture owner Candace Bongiovanni stated, “We are looking forward to having Sophia at our boutique to talk with customers, sign autographs and answer questions about her pageant career and impressive charity work. She is a role model for young women everywhere and an especially bright star in our local community.”


Sophia will be signing autographs at the store from 1:30-2:30pm.


CoCo Couture’s July 19th event will feature a Hawaiian luau theme complete with orchid leis, free paradise packs to the first 25 customers and tropical drinks. All attendees will be able to take advantage of significant discounts on CoCo Couture apparel and accessories.
