Miss Mecklenburg Sophia Kellstrom Shines Bright as CoCo Couture’s Top Model

July 24, 2020 — CoCo Couture, Lake Norman’s elite boutique for women’s fashion, selected Miss Mecklenburg 2020 Sophia Kellstrom to be one of its Top Models for the month of July.

During her Top Model photo shoot at the boutique, Sophia chose five looks that best reflect her unique personal style.

These looks included everything from a sweeping handkerchief dress, crisp white jeans, carefree shorts, frayed denim and botanical-print slacks. 

Sophia really turned up the charm in this casual-meets-couture fashion ensemble. Check out the accents — like cheetah-print heels, envelope clutch and French Kande wrap bracelet — that turn a graphic tee and jeans into a statement outfit.

Born and raised in Kings Mountain, Sophia is a 2017 graduate of Kings Mountain High School, and is currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. 

On January 11th of this year, she was awarded the Miss Mecklenburg County title during the pageant competition held in Charlotte. As the next step in her pageant career, Sophia will be representing Mecklenburg County in 2021 at the Miss North Carolina Competition.

Sophia’s favorite gift of fashion? A very special heirloom ring given to her by her grandmother.
